Foundation for Healing Ministry Programs
....mission is to further spiritual formation within faith communities by offering and encouraging programs for discernment, training, support, and renewal for ministers of religious healing.
The Formation for Healing Minstry Program, is its core offering, a two year ecumenical program pioneered 25 years ago by Fr. Leo Thomas, OP. Under the auspices of the Institute for Christian Ministries in Seattle the FHM curriculum has trained more than 5000 ministers of religious healing in mainstream Christian denominations internationally.
The Foundation believes that the Church is being called to reclaim and to renew in our time its age old commission to heal as faithful followers of Jesus Christ, and heralds of the Reign of God.
The Foundation for Healing Ministry Progams is a 501(c)3 organization encorporated in California in September 2004. The programs was pioneered in 2002 in the Bay Area by Dr.Bonita Ann Palmer, through a major grant for Spiritual Formation from Trinity Wall Street under the umbrella of the Episcopal Diocese of California's Commission on Health and Healing Ministries. FHMP has now enabled the training to be available ecumenically.
